I have just read an article on the New Scientist website about notifications, more specifically it was about a team using machine learning to better manage the deluge of smartphone notifications. I've also, prompted by a conversation last week, just looked up the best time to post on LinkedIn.
It is extraordinary that some sectors are optimising their notifications to this degree whilst in the world of Lettings, Property Management and (I'll admit) PAID & CO. We're, many of us, just getting started.
I am happy with the start we've made though. I'm always testing our latest changes and I'm loving the way emails come through on a smartwatch (see pic). Do I feel anxious to make sure tenants get the information that we give them at times that they need it? Yes I do, but for now I'm pleased that we are running a service that notifies in ways that our rivals don't match.
